Technical Specifications

Q: What browsers are supported?
A: On Windows XP and Vista, we currently support Firefox 3, Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8. On Mac OSx we support Firefox 3.
Q: Why can't I use Safari?
A: Safari's cache won't store the large files needed for video. Therefore, each time you use Pixorial, you would have to wait for your videos to load. Firefox eliminates this issue.
Q: What browser does Pixorial recommend?
A: Firefox 3. Click here to download Firefox for free.
Q: Do I need to download anything to use Pixorial?
A: Aside from a web browser, you will need Adobe's free Flash player. And, the faster the internet connection, the better.
Q: How do I view Pixorial's high-resolution shows?
A: Pixorial uses the H.264 mp4 industry standard for high resolution movie files. You will need an up-to-date media player such as Apple's free Quicktime Player for Mac OS X, the free Windows Media Player or the free VLC Player which works for both Mac OS X and Windows.
Q: How do I upload multiple files at one time?
A: Follow these four simple steps:
  • On the uploads page, select "Browse". The Browse button brings up a window that you can use to select which file you would like to upload to Pixorial first.
  • After you find the file you'd like to upload, click on it once to select it and then confirm your selection. At this point, the name of the file you chose to upload will appear on the screen, with a link next to it saying "Remove".
  • Select "Browse" again to select another file to upload (repeating the process outlined above), or select "Remove" to remove a previously selected file from the queue of files to upload to Pixorial.
