Share wedding videos onlineIt wasn’t too long ago that planning wedding videos boiled down to one simple question: who should we get as a videographer? Professionals can still play a big role in The Big Day. But in today’s world of on-demand, go-anywhere video, there are endless ways to be creative with your own movies and memories. With that in mind, here’s a short-and-sweet guide for using video to make a big, creative splash before – and after – your wedding: Start with the big news – Create a free Videocard announcing your engagement. Visualize the awesome reactions from your friends and family as they open their card and hear from you and your fiancé about your pending nuptials. Six months out – Document the dress shopping and tux fitting appointments. Capture moments from the cake-eating appointment, engagement parties, and bachelor/ bachelorette parties. Three months out – Invite friends and family to share video memories from the past. (Here at Pixorial, we’re not picky about formats; we can handle videocassettes, film reels and digital uploads.) One month out – Bring together video moments for both the groom and bride-to-be using Pixorial’s editing tools. Create DVDs to share as wedding favors at the reception. The Big Day – Share the couple’s video moments at the reception. Present those personalized DVDs as wedding favors on the tables. Invite friends and family to share captured video from the day’s events using our Tag People feature. The Reception – Put a modern spin on the old wedding guestbook. Set up a video table or booth, and have attendees share their advice, best wishes, funny stories, and favorite memories. Following the Big Day – Share the collected videos from the day of the wedding with friends and family and on Facebook. Over the next few months, as we expand our partnership with mywedding.com, we’ll be digging deeper into these tips for harnessing the power of video. Stay tuned! <Photo courtesy sunsets_for_you>
