How to add your own music to videos August 29th, 2012 / Comments: 0 The right soundtrack can make or break a video. As we pointed out in this post, a change in your music can completely change the vibe, feel, and emotion of the accompanying visuals. Given the fact that music is so crucial, we want to give you as many options as possible for choosing your video’s soundtracks. You can choose from hundreds of selections in our library. Or, if you have just the song in mind to upload from your own collection, you can do that too. Here’s how: - Click on “Create Movie” at the top of your library - Add the Video (or videos) you’d like to use - Hit “Add Song” on the Music Track timeline - Click on the Upload button, then choose a music file from your hard drive. Now the songs on your computer can do double-duty as background music for your videos. This also opens the doors to some very interesting possibilities. For example, using your computer’s microphone and a free sound recording program, you could record a customized narration to go along with your video. This is great for tutorials and how-to’s. If you happen to be the musical type, you can also upload your own creations. (Yes, this has MUSIC VIDEO written all over it). One final note: as you may have heard, music labels have been cracking down on users who upload videos with copyrighted tracks to YouTube. Keep this in mind if you plan on publicly sharing your creations. We also recently announced a partnership that will allow you to safely share from a huge library of copyright-cleared music. Ready to have fun with soundtracks? Fire up Movie Creator, get your favorite tunes uploaded, and make some great videos!
