Pixorial is a groundbreaking online video service where home movies and people interconnect. Customers can collaborate with others by adding and sharing full resolution home movies in the secure Pixorial service. Customers can edit and remix this online content to create unique, customized video products. The final products retain the full quality and resolution of the master movies regardless of origin. Digitization and Archiving
Pixorial allows customers to upload digital movie files, and provides professional-quality conversion of film and analog and digital cassettes and videotapes to full-resolution, digital format. All original media is returned after processing.
Pixorial archives and safeguards original consumer media in digital format. Digitized media are stored, in their entirety, using fully redundant and highly secure servers at co-location facilities. Pixorial offers virtually unlimited storage to enable Pro customers to preserve their entire home movie collection in its highest quality format. All customer productions and content from original digitized media are digitally mastered without damaging or diminishing original masters. In addition, Pixorial’s storage protocol enables easy rendering to media formats of the future.
Production
Pixorial provides one secure location for customers to view and manage their home movie collections, regardless of media age, size or original format. Pixorial Scene Maker, a web-based application, makes it easy to label and categorize movies online. Customers can use Pixorial Scene Maker to identify scenes, based on persons, locations, dates, events or categories of their choice. Identified scenes are searchable - giving customers instant access to specific memories and enabling virtually instant compilations and remixes.
Pixorial Producer, also a web-based application, allows customers to mix, edit, add titles and produce new shows from any and all of their original digitized media. Pixorial’s processes enable users to view entire movie collections online, and to create productions from them, with click, drag and drop simplicity. Pixorial’s proprietary backend systems digitally master customer productions, rendering customer productions at the highest resolution possible.
Sharing
Pixorial customers have the power to decide the who, what, where, when and how of sharing their video shows. Customer productions and original content are available through online distribution and on DVD. Pixorial enables customers to share online in lower-resolution for free, or at full-resolution for a minimal fee. DVD distribution is personalized with custom-printed DVDs. Pixorial ships DVDs directly for its customers.
