Pixorial on iOS now has full photo capture, editing, and sharing – with no limits on how many shots you can upload to your secure library. After taking a photo, you can use our built-in editor to enhance and crop.

Want to get creative with frames, stickers, and captions? Go nuts…and do it all in just a few taps!

As technology slowly (is it really that slow?) takes over our lives, more and more of our memories live online. Is it just us or are they all online but really hard to find?

Photos from that vacation in ‘09 on Flickr, Becca’s birthday party in an album on Facebook, and yesterday’s latte art in Instagram – now there’s a way to see them all together. Let’s stop messing around and do a final round up of your old photos and videos and start using the only hub you’ll need for your media from here on out.

With Pixorial you can pull in photos and videos from sites like Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Google Drive, or Dropbox and create shareable Albums to post on Facebook, Twitter or anywhere a URL fits.

Krowds Meets Filters: 13 New Ways to Express Yourself

The first thing you’ll notice is a new look.

From Day One, we’ve put a lot of effort into making your Krowds experience clear, clean, and uncluttered. In this update we’ve taken this design one step further, making it even easier for you to capture, transform, and share your videos. We also used a color scheme that makes the app easier to see when you’re out in the sun.

Now tap the camera icon at the bottom to start capturing video.

In the lower part of the screen you’ll now see a whole boatload (that’s a technical term) of video filters. These are living, breathing, dynamic effects that you can get creative with. Even the most mundane shot can look downright psychedelic with some of these filters!

You have 13 video-transforming options to choose from, including Motion Blur, Toon, Sketch, Ghost, and Pixellate. Play around and see which ones you like best. These filters tweak your video in real-time (not after you’ve captured them), and most are adjustable with a simple pinch gesture.

The creative and artistic possibilities are endless. And as always, sharing your videos with friends and family is just a few taps away.

Our final feature is something you’ll notice if you happen to lose connectivity while you’re using Krowds. If an upload fails, we’ll place it in a queue – along with any other uploads that didn’t make it through. Then, once you have a solid connection, Krowds will prompt you to upload all those videos.

What you’re looking at is a completely redesigned, overhauled, and improved Pixorial library. We’re proudly rolling it out today to all of our users. So…what’s changed, and how will these improvements help you tell stories with video? For starters, we’ve given the entire interface a cleaner, more intuitive look and feel. The colors are soothing to the eye, and the buttons invite you to reach out and touch them. The layout has been simplified too; it’s now easier to find and organize your videos. From uploading to editing to sharing, you’ll find that your workflow is smoother and faster. Our Chuck-Norris-worthy team of designers also put a lot thought into how you can find tips, tricks, and help. These bite-sized bits of knowledge are now conveniently located on the right side, where you can expand them when you need them and hide them when you don’t. While our other major change isn’t as obvious, it’s just as important. All basic (free) Pixorial accounts have been bumped up from 1 GB to 7 GB of storage space. If you’re a basic user, you’ll be able to upload more than 150 average-sized videos before you reach this limit! If you’re one of our premium users, you’ll be able to invite friends and family to join the fun for free, empowered with their own 7 GB account. But thanks to music licensing issues and legal threats, you may have had to deal with feelings of fear and uncertainty whenever you share videos with copyrighted music as the soundtrack. Well, dear Pixorial user, get ready to kiss those fears goodbye! We’ve partnered up with Rumblefish, the digital soundtrack wizards, to provide you with a huge selection of copyright-cleared music. In addition to having access to this massive catalog of well-known songs, you’ll also have new tools to choose your video soundtracks. Let’s take a closer look at what this means for you: - Copyright clearance. You’ve probably heard stories about videos getting taken off of YouTube because the music was copyrighted. Some unfortunate users have even been threatened with legal action. This will never, ever happen when you choose a track from the extensive Rumblefish library. Their songs are already licensed, so you can add them and share them anywhere. Good for you. Not so good for the hordes of intellectual property lawyers. - Moodmap. This tool helps you select the perfect music for your video, based on the mood you’re looking for. Want something peaceful to go along with shots of your mountain hike? This works a lot like Moodmap, expect you choose the music based on the theme of the occasion.
