Don’t look now, but Father’s Day is this weekend. If you’d like to do something fun and unexpected for your dad, here are three quick and easy ideas: Contest: Head over to our Superdad sweepstakes and share a story about your father. The Best Mother’s Day Gift Ever!

Did you know that we are exactly one month away from one of the most important holidays of the year? Yes, that would be Mother’s Day. It is the day when we honor the woman who changed you, defended you, saved you, and loves you regardless of what silly stunts you pulled as a kid or more recently as an adult. So, this year, we thought we would help you be a hero this Mother’s Day. This weekend, make mom a DVD with all those funny videos you have captured on your phone or video camera and you can have a nice customized gift for $5. Most likely you have a bunch of little video clips sitting on your phone or digital camera that you could upload and edit together very quickly on Pixorial. However, if you are going for super-hero status, here is another idea… Go to your mom’s house and grab that box of family videos from the attic and have Pixorial transform those old videos to digital. Kids Say The Darndest Things… A Video Montage

It is amazing what children will say when you ask a simple question. Last week, we held a fun little challenge in the “Memories in Motion” community and asked moms to interview their children with the following question, “What does mommy do all day.” We have pulled some of those video responses into a fun little video montage (all done within Pixorial, of course).

Share Memories Online – Digitize Your Home Movies

We have all heard the saying, “A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words.” So what does that mean for video? Imagine having access to those memories that have been trapped in boxes, collecting dust in the closet and unavailable to the people who took part in the making of the video. Bringing these videos to life can literally leave your friends and family speechless. Here is an example of a video captured 40 years ago and recently shared with the people who were featured in it. It is a beautiful video captured on film and digitized for online sharing. Anyone can do this today with Pixorial. Enjoy the show! (P.S. One of the children featured in this film is actually our CEO, can you guess which one?) Preserving memories is not a new concept, we have done it for years with photos. But what is going to happen to those videos shot years ago on formats that no longer exist? Send them to us! Online Video – So Easy, Even Grandma Is Doing It!

Grandma Mary

We recently had a special visit from Grandma Mary. For those of you who don’t know grandma, she is a social media edutainer who provides tips for using Facebook and Twitter on her site, The Grandma Mary Show. What sets Grandma Mary apart from other social media guru’s is her use of online video. You will find a nice combination of personality and education that simply can’t be achieved with text alone. Grandma Mary is the brainchild of Andrea Vahl, a comedian and social media coach and speaker who decided to blend her background in improv and her social media training business. Her “edutainer” concept is what makes her video tutorials both fun and educational. Once you subscribe to her blog you will quickly learn that grandma knows best. Happy Birthday on Facebook – Say it in Video

After a long hard day at the Pixorial office, it is so nice to just goof off sometimes!
