Pixorial’s blog is presented to you by the following actual human beings:
Kent Barton says, “I’m one part video freak, two parts musical mad scientist, and three parts tech geek. You’ll find me here on the blog. I also steer our Facebook and Twitter feeds through the vast digital waters…sort of like a social media Captain Picard. With hair. Stop by and say hi!”
Pixorial’s Customer Service Guru, Kristi began her career in customer service at the original Borders Bookshop where she answered such inquiries as “Where’s that book with the green cover that was sitting on the corner of that table two months ago? I don’t know the author, title or what it’s about.” After earning two graduate degrees in English, she left academia for the playground and raised two lovely kids who are now teens. Kristi honed her communication skills and patience teaching Spanish to students ages 4-14 and is deeply passionate about education, Spanish food, and llamas. Secret desire: To learn to write code. Favorite video: Her husband and 18-month-old daughter reading “Good Night Moon.”
Laura Higgins heads up Pixorial’s marketing and sales teams. She quietly tap dances out of bed every morning because she gets to come to Pixorial and help people learn to have fun with their favorite video moments. Laura grew up in San Francisco and took her first video production class as a teenager, back when video was hard to master. Her first job was dusting the exhibits in the famed Wax Museum at Fisherman’s Wharf (and selling T-shirts and trinkets in the Gift Shop). Billions of people say Laura’s Irish Wolfhound Preston is the largest dog on Earth, but she thinks they exaggerate. Favorite hobby: Taking the Giant Hound out for a walk where people can adore him. Favorite gadgets: Android, Nook and Zune. (Sounds like a law firm from Futurama.)
